Adjunct Instructor

Simon Taufique is an Emmy-nominated, award-winning producer and film composer based in NYC. He teaches Producing at NYU and the Sundance Institute and has produced (and scored) films including the Sundance 2025 award-winner Ricky, Lionsgate's Imperium, PBS’s Emmy-nominated documentary The Interpreters, HBO’s Weight of Gold & Land of Gold, and Berlinale-winner She’s Lost Control. He has been profiled on NPR, NBC News, Medium, and podcasts, and collaborated with M. Night Shyamalan, Reinaldo Marcus Green, Cary Joji Fukunaga, Anja Marquardt, Rashad Frett, and Mary Harron.  Simon is a member of BAFTA, the Television Academy, PGA, SCL, and serves on the board of the Hollywood Radio & Television Society (HRTS).  He is represented by IAG and records for Warner-Chappell Music. Simon is a dual citizen of the UK and the U.S.
