Meet the Leaders Who Will Guide Your NYU SPS Journey
A Message from Dean Kamath

October 2025
Dear NYU SPS Community,
Each fall, I’m reminded of the strength of our community, fueled by the relationships built across our school and with our alumni and industry partners. These connections reach far beyond the classroom, weaving into the fabric of NYU and our wider world. One of the best things about community in a school like ours is that it is always evolving and expanding, made ever stronger through moments of discussion, collaboration, and celebration.
NYU in Dialogue
One of the ways NYU is fostering connection across campus is through the NYU in Dialogue series, which brings students, faculty, and staff into meaningful conversations about empathy, leadership, and belonging. This fall, the series includes the acclaimed Empathy Museum exhibition, A Mile in My Shoes, which is on display through October 15 at the Paulson Center and in Brooklyn. Featuring stories from around the world and new contributions from our own NYU community, the exhibit offers moments of listening and understanding that remind us of our shared humanity.
Celebrating Our Leaders and Legacy
I am grateful for the wisdom and generosity of our new Dean’s Advisory Board and Executives in Residence program. Leaders from organizations including Nike, Ogilvy, the NBA, and more are sharing their expertise with students and helping us shape SPS as a place where learning connects directly to leadership.
Leaders are also front and center at this year’s NYU SPS Hall of Fame celebration, where we will honor eight extraordinary alumni including CNBC host Morgan Brennan (DAUS '09) and Olympic gold medalist Nastia Liukin (Tisch Institute '16), whose professional achievements and commitment to service continue to inspire.
Student Voices
Our students remain at the heart of all we do. This year, we have expanded our Student Advisory Groups to include online students, ensuring their voices are included alongside our undergraduate and graduate groups. These conversations provide essential guidance as we build an SPS that reflects and responds to the needs of all our learners.
I encourage you to participate in the opportunities we have to come together as a community this semester. These engagements remind us that while each of us travels a distinct path informed by our unique perspectives, it is in connection that our shared strength emerges.
Warmly,
Angie Kamath
