Parenting Education Certificate in Parenting Education (Accelerated)

This is an accelerated program with weekly synchronous/online meetings combined with asynchronous learning. Parenting Education offers comprehensive training in effective parenting strategies, attachment theory, and child development, equipping you to make a profound impact on family dynamics. You will learn how to enhance parenting-child interactions, boost parental well-being, and promote healthier family environments.

This program meets the educational requirements for certification as a New York State Parent Educator through the New York State Parenting Education Partnership (NYSPEP). The instructor will help participants connect with a NYSPEP mentor to assist in submitting a portfolio that demonstrates skills and experience in supporting parents, in order to apply for the Parent Educator Credential. 

Requirements:

The certificate is awarded to students who declare candidacy and successfully complete the one required course listed below with a grade of B or higher.
