Dave is currently the Director of Information Technology at the Town of Huntington on Long Island--specializing in Geographic Information Systems, Cybersecurity, and Public Sector Management.

Prior to his time at Huntington, Dave worked as a Senior Community Planner for the NYS Governor's Office of Storm Recovery and also was the Chief Deputy Planning Commissioner for the Town of Brookhaven and the Planning Commissioner for the Town of Islip.

His research interests include geospatial public sector data analysis and management. He currently teaches GIS for Global Affairs here at the NYU Center for Global Affairs along with an additional Geographic Information Science class at SUNY Farmingdale.

Dave sits on the Steering Committee for the Long Island GIS User Group (LIGIS) and assists in the production of two regional GIS conferences each year.

Dave received his BS in Urban Planning and Development along with a Master's Degree in Urban Planning from the University at Buffalo in 1996.
