Climate Finance and Sustainability

Climate change is among the most pressing global challenges of our time. The ongoing transition to lower carbon sources of energy poses unique challenges and opportunities to creating a secure global energy system that promotes affordable supplies and energy and food access to all.

ECJS Lab’s research focuses on rigorous systematic investigation on the social, cultural, and geopolitical context for energy investment, climate finance, and community resilience and well-being. New frameworks and evaluative tools are needed to ensure that energy and food security solutions can alleviate conditions of poverty and bring about improved welfare to all peoples.

Research will focus on data analysis on U.S. and global finance for energy and climate-related infrastructure developments and new technologies’ investment and business with an emphasis on carbon markets and other kinds of innovative solutions to bring broader access to private and public sector finance
