The BA in Social Sciences provides students with a strong liberal arts education and the writing, critical thinking, and analytical skills for career advancement or further study at the graduate level. Students can choose from a wide range of concentrations listed to the right. Courses introduce the basic concepts, theories, and methods that are central to each field, of study. They explore topics that are debated by scholars and are driven by the historical forces, and the social and cultural movements that have shaped today's globalized world.

Course Locations: Daytime classes are held at the NYU Midtown Center, evening and Saturday classes are held mainly in the Washington Square area, while others may be held at 7 East 12th Street, downtown at the Woolworth Building, and online.
